Investments and Expansion
We connect Minas Gerais to Brazil and the world, expanding our air network and increasing the number of destinations year after year. Today, we are the third airport in the country in terms of number of destinations and the second in domestic flights. In two years, we have quadrupled the number of international flights and, with more than 70 destinations, we stand out as the airport with the most routes to the Northeast and Southeast.
Over the last ten years, we have invested approximately R$1.3 billion in improvements, including the construction of a new terminal that increased our capacity from 10 million to 32 million annual passengers. The extension of the runway to 3,600 meters, one of the largest in Brazil, and the construction of 17 boarding bridges are among the milestones that have brought greater efficiency to operations.
Terminal 1 has also undergone renovations, with modernization of the security areas and expansion of the commercial mix, opening 80 new stores in the last decade. Today, we have over 100 establishments, offering passengers not only retail and food services, but also conveniences such as a post office and UAI gas station. With Minas Gerais hospitality and cutting-edge infrastructure, we welcome visitors from all over the world, projecting the quality of our services on a global scale.
