Guide to explore
Belo Horizonte, capital of Minas Gerais
Undoubtedly, this is not a guide that simply presents the charms of our capital. The journey through our beautiful horizon captures hearts and transforms each visitor into a faithful admirer of the hospitality and grandeur of our home. Those who come for the first time always come back to revisit and relive the surprising experiences that Beagá offers.
With a boteco on every corner, the capital of bars has gained international notoriety with its plurality of options for a diverse public. The richness of flavor that you can only find here is the secret of the creative gastronomy that attracts palates from all over the world.
Eating and drinking well is part of our culture, but breathing art and culture is also an important part of our tradition. Anyone who visits our city can't miss out on our historical heritage: Niemeyer's modern works in Pampulha, which make up the scenery of the lagoon, the Serra do Curral landscape, the parks and green areas that are easily accessible, such as the Municipal, right in the city center, the Pipiripau Nativity Scene and museums such as the Abílio Barreto and the Arts and Crafts Museum.

1Araxá

Araxá is a hydro-mineral resort located about 370 km from Belo Horizonte, in the Alto Paranaíba region. The Barreiro Complex is the city's main tourist attraction. The 450,000 square meter complex is made up of the Grande Hotel de Araxá, the famous Termas, the Andrade Júnior Fountain (sulphurous water), the Dona Beja Fountain (radioactive water), woods, lakes and a garden designed by Burle Marx.
The Mirante do Cristo (Christ's Viewpoint) should also be on the agenda of anyone visiting Araxá and offers a privileged view of the city. The statue of Christ was built in 1983 and is about 10 meters high. For the more adventurous, Horizonte Perdido, located 1350 meters above sea level at the top of the Serra da Bocaina, has one of the best free flight ramps in Brazil.
